The Journal of Adult Education “serves to illustrate the general tone of the field” (Merriam & Brockett, 2007, p. 228). In 1924, the Journal of Adult Education was replaced by the Adult Education Journal. Later, the Adult Education Journal and the Adult Education Bulletin were replaced by Adult Education, which is now the Adult Education Quarterly.
Practice-oriented journal: For example, Adult Learning. The journal Adult Learning was originally called Adult Leadership. In 1977, Adult Leadership was replaced by Lifelong Learning, which is now Adult Learning.
